It has since become an institution in its own right in RVA nightlife. With the success of Fantastic Planet, the crew decided that it was a good time to expand and establish a F.P. chapter in Virginia Beach with the help of the Noah Larmz Crew and the Jewish Mother.

The Virginia Beach edition of Fantastic Planet will be a monthly event that you will not want to miss. some of you probably know christian. if he likes you know it, if he doesnt like you, you also know it. but either way, anyone that is really the dudes friend knows that hes there for you however he can help if you need it. so if you can afford to help him and his mom out, you should.

everyone knows he got in trouble for some graffiti related shit a while back, well there was apparently some problems with the paperwork and certain things he was supposed to have done, but never received the paperwork for. so the cops picked him up the other night. hes in jail until the 28th, and then im not sure what happens. but the court appointed lawyer is not doing shit for him right now, he said that christian is just a number to him, and he will get to him when his number comes up. so his mom is trying to get an actual lawyer. she cares a lot about him, and says she will do whatever she can to get him out. sooo, that being said, everyone is trying to help him and his mom out by raising some money. so a paypal account was created to help out.

It's my mom's photography show. She lived in Jamaica in the late 70's and early 80's with the Peace Corps and took some amazing pictures while she was there and during her many trips back. The prints are affordable, and the Red Stripe and Music is FREE. And then to end the night, come help Richmond say goodbye to my main man Chopper. Chopper came up here from Norfolk, ran the scene, and now is headed back. He will be greatly missed. So help us burn down the basement Friday night...

To sum it up...the most official people in the area+PBR+a place people don't usually hang out at+2 dudes playing tunes+1 man with a deadly lens = Crush Groove 2. It was amazing how much fun Smedium and I had for the second installment of Crush Groove. We tried and entirely new set up that worked out perfectly. With everyone's help, it got so sweaty in there that the fire alarm went off! I saw the regular party people out as well as some others that usually don't hang. Either way, I was glad to see everyone and stoked that people came up to say "yo!" at the stage. Ashley, thanks so much for the beers. I owe you dude! And to everyone else, if I haven't said anything to you yet, then thank you for coming out and showing support! We hope you guys will continue to enjoy partying with us!

A long time friend, Tom Tarpey, has given me the heads up about the first Cirtical Sass of 2008. What is Critical Sass? No, it isn't a dance party or anything of that essence. But, it is still an amazing, fun night full of shenanigans and good buds. In the past years, we've met up at the Dairy Queen parking lot on Colley Avenue, Norfolk. Then, we bike around the ins and outs of Norfolk. The veterans are always present, but new attendees are always welcome. The last ride we had consisted of over 100 bikers. Let's crush that record and make it crazy! As stated before, get your bikes ready and saddle up fools!!

P.S. We tend to end up at Cruzers in Norfolk afterwards for some sweaty karaoke. The place is 21+ so bring your IDs or you can't come!

PNUMA TRIO- A whimsical trio of pals who all seem to know their instrumental shit with a mission to incorporate you into their state of mind with a sunning array of lighting and jam breakbeat rock. If someone was on a mission to give air an enthralling beat, this is pretty much where they would arrive. A swirling series of chirps and whirls create an image of twirling hippies. The only criticism may be that this off tempo slur of computer groovy-ness needs the midas touch of a lyricist to win over the slightly less stoned of the audience. With that said, part people attending will get just that from the opening artist, CED HUGHES & DEEJAY TANNER. For those who haven't had the pleasure of hearing Ced's music, all i can offer is a brief summary and advice. Ced Hughes has the type of swagger that allows everyone in the audience to let loose and have fun while screaming at the top of their lungs his catchy hooks and intricate rhymes. Backed by his hype-Beast of a dj, whose execution and delivery are amongst many greats, deejay tanner provides the added bonus needed to take this show around the world (or on a modest first run tour). My advice for anyone reading this post is to step your game up and check this tour out for yourself.
